Astley Parish Council has not been directly notified of this temporary road closure but the A53 from Aries Drive to Wytheford Road is to be resurfaced between Tuesday 3 September and Friday 13 September 2024. Both the Parish Council and the divisional Shropshire Councillor have requested that any signposted diversions do not involve lanes within the parish. However, nothing can be done to prevent those with local knowledge from taking an alternative route.
